The Uncut Pages Theater Company was founded
in 2004 by nine women at Bryn Mawr College
in order to find a wider audience for the thoughtful,
bold theater that we were doing in the student-run
theater companies on campus.

Our mission is to promote artistic creation
by women and the enjoyment of theater through
dynamic, original work, and innovative, yet
accessible, re-imaginings of classics. We believe
in non-traditional casting as an integral part of
the transcendent experience of theater. We
believe that theater should be enjoyable as well
as thought-provoking; entertaining someone is
the best way to capture their attention long
enough to say something.

We have produced two original productions written
by members of the company, Production Values by
Charlotte Rahn-Lee, at the Philadelphia Fringe
Festival in 2004, and Professor Dilexi Presents
Dramatis Personae of the Apocryphal Menagerie,
by Rebecca Fullan in both the New York and the
Philadelphia Fringe Festivals in 2005.
Uncut Pages’ productions are entirely run,
produced, and directed by the company, we are
proud to conceive and create its own theatrical
work with great collaborative energy.
